Bowties. To trim or not to trim, that is the question!

55 out of 56 blocks done. Just putting the last one together this morning - I lost the little squares but found them in my stash drawer before I cut new ones.

I'm tempted to skip trimming these blocks, I can see they are not perfectly square but I'm feeling lazy! Do you always trim your blocks?

  1. Not always. Sometimes it just never occurs to me!

  2. I have a bowtie quilt in my WIP pile that I didn't trim the blocks for and they were obviously uneven. I'm doing embroidery on the seams as my quilting though so it hides any unevenness pretty well. :D

  3. I never thought to trim before I read about it a few months ago ... I usually trim blocks for swaps but if I sew them together and they don't look completely "unsquare" I just use "eye-measure" and sometimes I just pin them straight the seam allowance will than vary a little ...

  5. I don't usually trim, just do a little wiggle n' stretch to match them up! They look great!
